DESIGNED BY RACERS FOR RACERS
The GPK Series offers a level playing field for the best talent in British karting to shine through.
Using the very finest equipment available, the GPK Series 2017 Calendar offers six race days races at three of the most exciting circuits in the UK – with chassis and engine parity meaning the drivers’ skill will decide the Championships – rather than budget.
Three classes will be running on the three race weekends:
Cadet for 8-13 year olds, using the TonyKart Rookie chassis with the Vortex Mini MR3 engine
Junior for 12-15 year olds using the TonyKart 401 S chassis with the Vortex DDJ OK engine
Senior for 15 and over using the TonyKart 401 S chassis with the Vortex DDS engine
All classes will run Bridgestone ROK tyres – which will be supplied by GPK Series for each round.
All the equipment necessary will be supplied to each competitor excluding safety equipment. The engines will be pooled and a competitor will not receive the same engine on any subsequent round. The engines will be kept and maintained by Strawberry Racing who will be on hand at each round to offer advice and support.
Track time will be maximised throughout the weekend. There will be testing all day on Friday in exclusive 15 minute sessions and the heats and finals during the weekend will use the most of the time available.
The cost of competing in the 2017 GPK Series, including all of the above is just:
Cadet: £12,500 plus VAT (£13,000 plus VAT if you wish to pay in staged payments)
Junior/Senior: £14,500 plus VAT (£15,000 plus VAT if you wish to pay in staged payments)
The GPK series is designed by racers for racers and to let the cream of British driving talent rise to the top without resorting to chequebook racing.
