The GPK Series Difference
GPK Series is a unique race championship in the UK. Drivers are provided with identical race chassis for the season and draw power-matched engines at random for each round – meaning that drivers’ skills will decide the championship – rather than the racing budget.
The Karts
GPK Series exclusively uses TonyKart Race Chassis – with adjustable pedals, fully self-adjusting hydraulic brakes, 40mm hollow axles and Tillett racing seats. Each driver gets exclusive use of their chassis for the Championship.
The Engines
GPK Series exclusively uses Vortex Engines for each of the classes. Engines are all sealed and every competitor draws a different engine at random from the pool of engines at each race weekend. Between each race weekend, the engines are all serviced and prepared for the location by draw at the next race weekend.
The Dashboards
Every driver is provided with a Mychron 5 Dashboard, linked to GPK Series Live Timing. As soon as MyLaps release the update to enable their X2 Live Timing Link, drivers will be able to see their lap times, gap times to the drivers ahead and behind and a host of key information about their kart.
The dashboards will offer Testing and Qualifying Mode to give drivers instant feedback on kart setup changes and on changes to their driving style – with live information showing their position on the leaderboard and against their nearest competitors and Race Mode – showing their lap times, race position and gaps to the drivers ahead and behind.
